This is a short one for all the aspiring writers out there. Of all the advice I have heard, there is one single piece of it that has stood out above all others.
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you came from, or why you wrote a book. The only thing that matters is that you write a great book.
And I’ve come to realize that plot, characters, market, settings don’t really matter. Voice matters, style matters, coherency matters. It all comes down to the writing, tell a great story, and use all the good words.
That’s all it takes.
