The Blurb: Aura’s life is anything but easy. Her boyfriend, Logan, died, and his slides between ghost and shade have left her reeling. Aura knows he needs her now more than ever. She loves Logan, but she can’t deny her connection with the totally supportive, totally gorgeous Zachary. And she’s not sure that she wants to.
Logan and Zachary will fight to be the one by her side, but Aura needs them both to uncover the mystery of her past—the mystery of the Shift.
As Aura’s search uncovers new truths, she must decide whom to trust with her secrets…and her heart.
My Thoughts: I have to admit I was disappointed about the ebook pricing on this one because after reading the end of Shade, I wanted to tear into Shift right away. And then the beginning of Shift actually began a few pages before Shade ended, so there was overlap that I had to fast forward through. The rest of the book though, total genius. Jeri writes about teenagers the way they are, except of course everyone under the age of 16 can see ghosts. Logan is there, but this time he’s attempting to be more in the friend zone and Aura is trying desperately to let him go and also figure out the secrets behind the shift and why she’s the first and Zach is the last. Their relationship is a lot more tense, Zach is trying to give Aura space to get over Logan and in the meantime he’s messing with some other girl from their school. Both Aura and Zach end up going to the prom with other people. I have to say I thought Aura was losing it when it came to Dylan . . . certain make out sessions should not have happened, but I could see why they did, teenagers act like that. In the end the DMP is getting their groove on searching for Zach and Aura and this is where all the sexy scenes come in. Now I understand why Zach was called TeamKilt . . . that prom attire was an interesting choice.
I’m looking forward to the third book in this series, Shine, out next summer!
Recommendation: Yeah you need to read this series because it’s so good!
