Something is killing innocent people around Rylie Gresham’s town. The police think it’s a wild animal, but she has other suspicions. There are new kids at school, and they have a lot in common with her: gold eyes, super strength, and a habit of turning furry. It seems Rylie’s not the only werewolf around anymore.
It’s up to Rylie and her werewolf-hunting boyfriend, Seth, to stop the killings. But saving lives doesn’t come naturally to a monster, and territory battles could risk the life of her sickly aunt–not to mention her own. Rylie has no choice but to stand her ground, protect her home, and stop the murderers before anyone else gets hurt.
My favorite of the series so far! SM Reine keeps getting better and better with each book she writes! Long Night Moon picks up where All Hallows Moon left off and we’re treated to Seth, Rylie and Abel (Seth’s brother) searching for a werewolf that’s been killing people.
SM Reine brought us a few new characters in this book, Bekah, Levi and Scott. Scott isn’t a werewolf so much as a pagan priest that helps wayward werewolves. Bekah and Levi both wear silver and can turn when they want to. At first Rylie thinks it’s got to do with territory, that they’re killing the people but as it turns out, it’s never who you think it’s going to be.
I don’t want to spoil any of the major revelations in this book because it’s unfair, so basically, it’s a werewolf murder mystery. We get to see Rylie and Seth getting a little hot and heavy, but ultimately at the end, Rylie makes the right decision for herself and for Seth. It’s not a nice decision and I’m hurt by it, but I can’t wait to see what happens in Gray Moon Rising, the last in the series.
P.S. It’s not the new werewolves killing people.
Also, I’m in love with the new covers for the series.
