About: In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

My Thoughts: I read this almost two years ago and never bothered to review it because at the time I wasn’t reviewing books. Now I realized that I read and reviewed Beautiful Darkness and basically I like having a set when I review, it makes no sense to review the second in the series and not the first.

I was enthralled by this book, drawn in from the first page and kept up well past my bedtime by the last page. I found Ethan endearing, loved Miriam the librarian and surprisingly enough I also liked Riley with her lollipop.

I wasn’t a big fan of Uncle Mason or Lena for that matter, but I respected the fact that Ethan fell for her. Frankly, the story line was a bit over done, but I was still enchanted by it.

The writing was superb, both Garcia and Stohl have a knack for amazing story telling that really gets the reader involved. I’ve had a great time following their books!

If you haven’t picked up on this series yet it’s about time you do. Beautiful Chaos recently came out and there’s been a lot of talk about a Beautiful Creatures movie. I’d definitely like to see how they’d turn this from fiction into a movie.
