Debut Author Spotlight w/ Rhi Paille

If I haven’t talked about this yet, here’s the deal. I’m leaving on Friday on a cross Canada tour to promote Flame of Surrender. I’ll be appearing at six of the big giant Chapters / Indigo stores, showing off the trailer, reading excerpts from the first two books, revealing the cover of Flame of Justice (I have a 24 x 36 of it), revealing the trailer of Flame of Justice, and signing books, posters and bookmarks.
Now a lot of people have asked me who has helped me with this entire process? Well I have a few rockstars in my court, people I couldn’t have done this without.

#1 Rockstar:
Rachel @Parajunkee (
Rachel has put me at the top of the list when it comes to cover designs, bookmark designs, poster designs, and anything else I need. She’s worked tirelessly to make sure all my marketing looks pristine and amazing. Honestly, without her, Kaliel wouldn’t look so cool. She crafted the poster you see below, and the bookmark that’s currently the header for this blog. (That’s changing though as she’s also working on a brand new blog layout for me)

#2 Rockstar
Samantha Wiebe (she doesn’t have a website yet, but when she does I think it’ll be called Adorable Muffin Productions)
Sam has been with me since 2010. We shot a scene from FoS called The Journey to the Great Oak (I think it’s still on youtube somewhere) She’s the girl on the cover of FoS, the girl that will be coming with me on the tour, the girl that pretty much embodies everything Kaliel is. She’s been amazing and I’m so glad to have her on my team. In addition to her mad coaplay / acting skills, she’s also done all the video editing and effects on the FoS trailers. Without her, I have no idea where this project would be right now, probably still sitting on my computer waiting to be published.

#3 Rockstar
Chris MacDonald
I can’t even begin to describe the awesomeness that is “Kramer” as we call him. He’s the one that wrote all the music for the trailers, recorded all the voice overs, worked on CGI effects for the second trailer and is working on the audiobook version of FoS.

So anyway, if you happen to be in Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary or Vancouver and you’re reading this blog today, don’t be afraid to come by and say hi to me at your local Chapters next week! The poster with all the official dates and locations are below, and the’re also listed on my appearances page.

Have a good one!
